Director, Cyber Insider Threat

Mr. Dietle is the Director of Cyber Insider Threat at American International Group (AIG) and has built the global Cyber Insider Threat strategy for detecting, remediating, and defending AIG from cyber insider threats. Through the implementation of new business supported controls and investigation procedures, the insider threat team protects AIG employees and clients.
As a lieutenant commander in the US Navy he spent 11 years leading Sailors in both technical teams and operational departments through challenging environments across the world. His duties ranged from hacking into US ships, planes, and submarines to leading operations for the Naval Reserve support of NIOC/NSA Texas.
A hacker by heart, he contributes to the growing cybersecurity field to keep people and companies safe from criminals. Authored the book “Effective Threat Intelligence” a foundation to the field of threat intelligence. Additionally, he volunteers at the national DEFCON hacker convention, is an early adopter of blockchain technology, and is currently studying AI to help leverage medical data.
He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Bellevue University. As a Veteran, he co-created AIG's Houston Employee Readiness Group Veteran Leadership Network and is a past board member of USNA Gulf Coast Chapter. He recently completed a 6-month executive education at HBS as part of PLD 24.
