Director, Strategic Intelligence Analysis
Elizabeth (Beth) Petrie is the Director of Cyber Threat Risk Management responsible for the coordinated management of intelligence in support of business operations to effectively assess the cyber risk to critical information assets. Beth joined Citi in January 2014 and has over 20 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Prior to Citi, Beth was the head of Cyber Intelligence for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Beth managed multiple intelligence units, oversaw production of threat analysis for senior policymakers, and led development of a threat prioritization methodology which changed the way the FBI measures intelligence program management. Her career at the FBI also included authoring intelligence assessments on financial crime trends impacting global financial institutions and working as a tactical analyst supporting espionage cases. Beth is a certified Intelligence Officer, holds a Master’s degree in Technology Management from Georgetown University, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame. Beth and her husband Chris are owners of a small business in Maryland where they live with their two daughters.
